Job summary

Cape is seeking a Security Technical Program Manager to build this function from the ground up within a privacy-first carrier. You will align security engineering with Cape’s broader engineering org, set priorities, and drive the execution of detection & response, corporate, and product security initiatives.

You will bridge security needs with product teams, influence tool selection and roadmaps, and shape how security supports rapid, secure product delivery across the company.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a TPM or PM embedded with a security team that builds tooling and systems in-house.
• Strong prioritization and backlog management skills.
• Able to translate security requirements for product teams.
• Comfort operating as a trusted technical liaison between specialized teams and a distributed organization.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the security program's strategy, priorities, and progress to the broader business.
• Shape how Cape brings new security tools into the fold, from vendor procurement through implementation.
• Keep the security engineering team on track and manage the backlog across detection & response, corporate security, and product security.
• Serve as the technical go-between for security engineers and Cape's product engineers, translating requirements.
