Job summary

Cape, America's privacy-first mobile carrier, is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to reduce risk across corporate IT, overseeing IAM/SSO/MFA, endpoint security, and network protections. You will partner with IT, engineering, and business teams to design, implement, and monitor robust security controls and governance across employee-facing systems and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security across corporate IT security domains.
• Deep understanding of enterprise identity providers and SSO/MFA platforms, endpoint tooling, MDM, and email security.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001; government frameworks like FedRAMP, NIST is a plus.
• Experience with SSDLC practices and secure design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls across corporate IT systems.
• Own IAM/SSO/MFA, endpoint security (EDR/MDM), and email/network security.
• Perform security assessments of systems and vendors and recommend mitigations.
• Establish governance and monitoring for employee tooling and third-party risks.
• Lead vulnerability management lifecycle across corporate fleet.
• Lead security awareness and phishing simulation programs.
• Support compliance/audit efforts and risk management with stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers on secure practices and drive security culture.
