Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineer for the Proactive Capabilities team to design, build, and scale security tooling across the company. You will identify security challenges, evaluate buy-vs-build options, and turn solutions into company-wide capabilities.

The role requires hands-on work with Go/Python, AWS or GCP, and Kubernetes in a hybrid on-site setting, with co-located offices in Bellevue and Menlo Park.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building scalable, reliable microservices and tools.
• Hands-on experience deploying services in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Solid knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes concepts.
• Strong security context and tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale security tooling and services to improve visibility and coverage.
• Design and deploy AI agents and security automation workflows.
• Collaborate with Security and Product Engineering to promote secure-by-default patterns.
• Participate in design and system reviews for Proactive Security initiatives.
