Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Technician to troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems across commercial environments. You will inspect, report, and provide clear next steps to restore full functionality.

As a trusted advisor, you will propose solutions to improve building efficiency and coordinate with public safety agencies when needed. This role offers an hourly compensation with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in low-voltage or security industry.
• Knowledge of major security manufacturer platforms.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass background/identity checks.
• Experience with Access Controls, CCTV, Burglar and Fire Alarms in commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Inspect systems and provide written or digital reports to customers.
• Provide high level service to resolve building inefficiencies.
• Identify customer needs and explain next steps and processes.
• Coordinate inspections with police, fire departments, or other agencies.
• Test system operation and establish connectivity with monitoring center.
• Provide quotes and recommendations to improve facility efficiency.
