Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Security Technician to diagnose and repair intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers. You will communicate needs clearly and guide customers through repair steps to restore full functionality.

Expect to inspect systems, generate reports, and provide practical recommendations to improve efficiency. A strong customer service mindset and safe driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years in low-voltage or security industry.

Responsibilities

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair, or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
• Perform repairs and inspections of intrusion detection, IP CCTV, access control systems and fire alarms.
• Assist fellow technicians with system repairs and complete minor repairs including battery replacement.
• Test system operation and establish service connectivity with the monitoring center.
• Prepare and file customer paperwork and reports.
• Provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
