Johnson Controls Security Technician position seeks a troubleshooter with experience in intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers. You will identify customer needs, inform on next steps, and return systems to full functionality with clear reports.

Qualifications

• 5 years in low-voltage or security industry.
• Excellent knowledge of major security platforms (Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC, etc.).
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass thorough background and identity checks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems; inspect systems and provide written or digital reports.
• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring; readjust, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments or other agencies.
• Assists fellow service technicians with system repairs and completes minor repairs including battery replacement.
• Test operation of system and establish service connectivity with the monitoring center.
• Complete all forms accurately and customer paperwork; provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency.
