Job summary

Johnson Controls Security Technician role seeks a seasoned professional to troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems for commercial sites across the United States. You will document repairs and communicate next steps to customers to restore full functionality.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in the low-voltage or security industry, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

6+ years in low-voltage or security industry.
Excellent knowledge of major security platforms including intrusion, CCTV, access control and fire alarms.
Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
Able to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Able to operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
Identify customer needs and explain next steps and repair processes.
Inspect systems for proper function and provide written/digital reports to customers and company.
Provide high-quality service to resolve building inefficiencies and service-related items.
Act as a trusted advisor and propose solutions to achieve desired outcomes at time of service.
Coordinate inspections and installations with police, fire, or other authorities.
