Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Technician to troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers, delivering clear, proactive customer guidance on next steps.

You will inspect systems to ensure proper functionality, provide written reports, coordinate inspections with authorities when required, and offer recommendations and quotes to keep the facility running efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in low‑voltage or security industry.
• Excellent knowledge of major security platforms (Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC).
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass thorough background and identity checks.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.
• Inspect systems and provide written or digital reports to customers and the company.
• Identify customer needs and explain next steps to repair to restore full functionality.
• Coordinate inspections with police, fire departments, or other agencies.
• Assist fellow technicians with system repairs and complete minor repairs.
• Test system operation with the monitoring center and ensure connectivity.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
