Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Security Technician to troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers.

You will identify customer needs and guide them through repair steps to restore full functionality, while inspecting systems and providing reports. The role requires 2 years in low-voltage or security, knowledge of Bosch, Honeywell, and similar platforms, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2 years in low-voltage or security industry.
• Knowledge of major security platforms including Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC, etc.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass background and identity checks.

Responsibilities

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair, or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other agencies.
• Perform repair and/or inspections of intrusion detection, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.
• Assist fellow service technicians with system repairs and complete minor repairs including battery replacement.
• Test operation of system and establish service connectivity with monitoring center.
• Complete all forms accurately and customer paperwork as required.
