Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Service Technician in Tampa, FL to troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers. You will inspect systems, provide written reports, and deliver high-level service to resolve building inefficiencies and ensure full functionality.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in low-voltage/security, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in low-voltage or security industry
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass background and identity checks
• Experience with Access Controls, CCTV, Burglary and Fire Alarms in Commercial settings

Responsibilities

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair, or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other relevant agencies.
• Perform repairs/inspections of intrusion detection, IP CCTV, Access Control, and fire alarms where applicable.
• Assist fellow technicians with system repairs and minor repairs including battery replacement.
• Test system operation with customer monitoring center and establish service connectivity.
