Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control across commercial and residential sites.

The role involves wiring devices, testing system functionality to manufacturer specs, and providing customer explanations. Travel may be required and progress is supported by training and field experience.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and pre-employment background checks
• Must obtain licenses/certifications as required by state security rules
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Ability to travel as needed
• Strong mathematical skills for calculations
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installations
• Integrity, communication, service and accountability are valued by Per Mar Security

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all installed systems and devices function per manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters for volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis.
• Hook up RJ31X to specified panel mountings (motion detectors, keypads, controls).
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to customers how the system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
