Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

You will wire devices, verify operation, perform diagnostics with multimeters, and communicate with clients. Travel as needed; valid driver’s license required; HS diploma or GED preferred. Company vehicle and tool allowance provided.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license and willingness to undergo background checks and drug tests.
• Must obtain licenses/certifications per state regulations to operate in the security industry.
• High School Diploma or GED required; ability to travel as needed.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe installation of alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify all installed systems for proper function per manufacturers' specs.
• Use multimeters to measure volts and OHMs and perform circuit analysis.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate system operation to customers.
• Complete paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, colleagues, and Central Monitoring Station.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
