Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

The role involves wiring devices, testing system performance, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes. A valid driver’s license, ability to travel, and basic math skills are required. Training is provided and incentives apply based on performance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
• Must be able to obtain licenses/certifications for security work as required by state regulations.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Strong math skills including area, volume, percentages, and algebra.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify systems function per manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters for volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain to customers how the alarm system works.
• Complete proper paperwork daily and submit to the appropriate department.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers, and Central Monitoring Station.
• All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
