Job summary

Convergint Federal Solutions is seeking a Service Technician III to install, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. You will support field operations, work with clients, and ensure high standards of service.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience, certifications, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics while maintaining documentation and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school degree/GED required.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems.
• 2 product-specific certifications helpful (Lenel S2, DMP, Avigilon, Milestone, CCure 9000, Software House, AMAG).
• Industry-specific certifications desired; must have or be able to obtain applicable licenses.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings; strong math and technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems (access control, video, intrusion).
• Conduct system upgrades and modifications per client requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams for successful implementations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Provide remote and on-site support to address client concerns.
• Train clients on system operation and maintenance.
• Maintain documentation of service activities and inventory.
