Job summary

Wachter is seeking a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician to support installations and service across various retail locations in the United States. The role requires self-motivation, reliability, and the ability to work independently on projects and troubleshooting.

Training and travel support are provided, with a company vehicle after orientation. Preferred NICET certification and valid security licenses will help you excel as you install, test, and maintain life safety

Qualifications

• NICET certification preferred.
• Current/valid state Physical Security license and/or Life Safety license in applicable technology.
• Knowledgeable about NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72.
• Assist with pre-installation opportunities by designing and planning technical solutions.
• Perform new installs and provide technical escalation support on-site and remotely.
• Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-installation opportunities by designing and planning technical solutions.
• Perform new installs and provide technical escalation support on-site at customer locations and remotely.
• Ensure all work complies with current codes and regulations.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP video, access control, intrusion, LAN/WAN, and wireless LAN.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings and complete wiring/terminations.
