Job summary

Wachter is seeking a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician to support installations and service across retail locations in the United States. The role requires independent work, strong problem solving, and a commitment to safety.

Training is provided, with a company vehicle after orientation. Applicants should have a Texas license and relevant field experience; NICET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas Fire Alarm License.
• Experience with Fire Alarm, Intrusion, and Access Control installations.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Current/valid Life Safety license as applicable.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards (70/72).
• Willingness to travel up to 20-30% and work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling and equipment for IP Video, Access Control, Intrusion, and LAN/WAN.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings.
• Complete wiring, terminations, and installations to meet contractual requirements.
• Install and program fire alarm systems per plans and layouts.
• Mount sensors and access locations; drill and access attics/crawlspaces as needed.
• Ensure systems comply with electrical and fire codes; perform tests for operation.
• Follow safety requirements and collaborate with leadership on schedules.
