Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. is hiring a Security Technician in the Columbia, SC area. The role involves installing and servicing CCTV, access control, intrusion, and related low-voltage security systems.

You will contribute to project teams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality results for customers. The position requires 1+ year experience with enterprise security systems, the ability to install devices and cabling, and reading diagrams.

Qualifications

Minimum 1+ years of experience with installation and service of enterprise-level physical security systems.
Ability to install devices, headend equipment, cabling, and connect to networks.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and digital systems.
Ability to read and interpret building floor plans/diagrams.
Able to use hand and power tools and learn test equipment.
Able to obtain appropriate licensure.
Two-year degree in Electronics, IT, or applicable subject preferred.
Proficiency with enterprise-level security systems—installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
Training or certifications related to manufacturer’s security systems and networks desired.

Responsibilities

Install and service CCTV, access control, intrusion, and related security platforms.
Contribute to technical and project teams and troubleshoot issues.
Diagnose and resolve system problems in a timely manner.
Collaborate with trades and subcontractors on project sites.
Execute assigned projects with quality results.
Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver results to customers.
