Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. (MCA) seeks an Advanced Security Technician in Columbia, SC to install and service security systems including CCTV and access control. The role involves diagnosing issues, mentoring teammates, and delivering high-quality installations for customers.

You will work with a team on various projects, stay current with emerging security technologies, and coordinate with subcontractors as needed. MCA values service, growth, teamwork, and safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing and servicing enterprise-level physical security systems (Access Controls, CCTV, Intrusion/Burglar).
• Proficient in device installation, headend equipment, cabling, and network connections.
• Basic networking and programming understanding.
• Ability to train others on device installation.
• Experience using test equipment to verify installations.
• Able to troubleshoot across enterprise systems.
• Able to obtain appropriate licensure.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and service physical security systems/platforms (CCTV, access control, intrusion, communications).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues.
• Train/mentor team members.
• Lead smaller projects/installations with the team to deliver quality results.
• Maintain awareness of new technologies and their client applications.
• Coordinate with trades and subcontractors on projects.
