Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Security Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities to support our life safety systems. You will work with our service team and clients to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to maintain overall performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, system programming, reporting, and knowledge of access control, IP video, and monitoring station equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in a technician role within the building security systems industry.
• Knowledge of current security systems including access control, IP video, and voice and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair security systems including analog, IP, addressable, and networked solutions.
• Program and maintain intermediate equipment and systems including intrusion detection, video surveillance, asset protection, environmental detection, holdup/duress, integrated systems and equipment related to the alarm monitoring station.
• Produce repair reports in accordance with best practices for customer acceptance and billing information.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Take ownership of onsite projects including safety, quality, and performance.
