Job summary

Communications Engineering Company is seeking a Systems Specialist to lead the physical installation of security systems across assigned projects, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to codes and best practices. You will work with the project team, coordinate resources, and conduct site walk-throughs to verify locations and hazards.

You will review project plans with stakeholders, perform testing, train customers, and finalize documentation while mentoring less experienced staff.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
• 2 Industry certifications (NICET, Bicsi, CTS) preferred.
• Certifications can be obtained during the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Review project information with key personnel to address questions.
• Evaluate problems, coordinate resources, site access, PPE and equipment needs.
• Review system functionality and plan with customer; verify locations and hazards.
• Lead kick-off meetings; oversee site walk-throughs and safety checks.
• Perform daily work planning, site evaluations and quality assurances to ensure plan compliance.
• Inspect installation, document discrepancies, mentor junior staff and finalize docs.
• Coordinate testing, customer training and documentation completion.
• Assist with on-site training and mentoring of team members.
• Support service tickets and on-call rotation; ensure safety.
• This is a safety sensitive position and other duties as assigned.
