Job summary

Communications Engineering Company (CEC) is seeking a Systems Specialist to lead the physical installation of communications systems on diverse projects. You will work with the project team to ensure safety and quality per industry codes and best practices, reviewing plans with customers and coordinating site access.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, basic programming, and on-site training of team members, with opportunities for advancement and a strong emphasis on safety and client

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
• 1+ years of leadership experience within CEC or similar company.
• 3 safety related certifications (preferred).
• 2 Industry certifications (NICET, Bicsi, CTS, etc.) (preferred).
• Certifications/trainings can be obtained during the first year of employment to meet minimum qualifications when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Review project information with key personnel to address questions.
• Plan projects by coordinating resources, site access, PPE, and equipment with the Project Manager.
• Review system functionality and plan with customers; supervise site walk-throughs for safety hazards.
• Lead daily work plans, ensure safe practices, and enforce quality assurance on site.
• Perform basic programming, configuration, and connect systems to networks.
• Mentor less experienced team members and support on-site training.
• Ensure project closure with customer sign-off and final documentation.
