Job summary

Communications Engineering Company in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Systems Specialist to lead the physical installation of security systems on assigned projects, ensuring safety and quality in line with industry codes and standards.

You will review information with stakeholders, plan resources, coordinate with Project Manager, oversee site walk-throughs, and guide junior team members while maintaining the 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
• 2 Industry certifications (e.g., NICET, BICSi, CTS) preferred.
• Certifications and trainings can be obtained during the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Review project information with key personnel to address questions and unknowns as required.
• Evaluate potential problems, impact, and solutions. Coordinate resources, site access, PPE requirements and equipment with Project Manager.
• Review system functionality, schedule, and plan with customer. Oversee site walk-throughs to verify locations and identify safety hazards.
• Verify understanding of the project plan and review all project milestones. Oversee site walk-throughs to verify locations and identify safety hazards when possible.
• Lead and follow daily work project plan including safe work practices and requirements.
• Perform basic programming, configuration and connect physical system to network as assigned.
• Assist with onsite training and mentoring of less experienced team members.
