Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking an installation technician to deploy complex security systems for clients, including wiring, programming and testing of access control, CCTV and alarm components.

The role requires experience with IP-enabled devices, reading technical diagrams, and performing end-user training. A 2-year technical degree is preferred; union-backed benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years in Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
• 1-3+ years in Access Control Systems.
• Understanding of Alarm Systems operation and design.
• Experience with IP-addressable security devices and TCP/IP networking.
• Proficiency with ADT CCTV and access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Install complex integrated security systems including wiring, equipment and programming.
• Perform system checks, troubleshoot and test operation.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals and manuals; adjust or repair equipment.
• Conduct End-User training and document all job-related paperwork.
• Capable of using hand and power tools to mount equipment and ensure proper secure mounting.
