Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is hiring an installation technician to wire, configure, and test integrated security systems including access control, CCTV, digital recorders, and network devices for clients in Chantilly, VA.

You will install cabling, mount equipment, and program systems to meet customer requirements. The role requires 1–3 years of experience with digital and analog camera systems and IP networking, plus a solid understanding of alarm systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3+ years in Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
• 1–3+ years in Access Control Systems.
• Understanding of Alarm Systems.
• Experience with IP addressable security devices.
• Proficient with TCP/IP networking.
• Proficient with ADT A.I. core card access and CCTV systems.

Responsibilities

• Install cabling, field equipment, and enclosures per code.
• Troubleshoot with electronic test equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specs.
• Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative components.
• Perform system checks for proper operation.
• Conduct End-User training.
• Complete paperwork related to assignments.
