Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field installation technician to perform installation, configuration, and testing of security systems including Intrusion Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, and related networking equipment.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, completing as-built drawings, preparing client reports, and conducting system acceptance tests with authorities having jurisdiction. A valid driver’s license and readiness for on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• Understand technical system architecture and security systems.
• Pass driving background check.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting activities on Security related equipment for large installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, and specifications.
• Complete “As Built” drawings upon project completion.
• Submit reports to customers and carry out system acceptance tests with AHJs and other interested parties.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various product lines and security technologies.
• Consult with clients to assess risk and determine security requirements.
• Participate in rotation on-call schedule.
