Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. seeks a field technician to install and program integrated security systems including access control, CCTV, and related equipment at client sites.

You will wire, mount, configure and test systems while following national codes and company standards. The role requires hands-on installation skills, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and the capacity to train end users on system operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• A+ certification required.
• 3+ years experience in Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
• 3+ years experience in Access Control Systems.
• Understanding of the function and design of Alarm Systems.
• Experience with IP addressable security devices (2+ years).
• Proficient with ADT A.I. core card access and CCTV systems.

Responsibilities

• Install complex integrated security systems including wiring, equipment and programming of access control, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders and intercom systems.
• Install cabling and field equipment according to the national electric code and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot with electronic test equipment and interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• Readjust, repair or replace inoperative equipment and conduct system checks.
• Conduct end-user training and complete necessary job paperwork.
• Capable of using hand and power tools to mount and secure equipment; feed and terminate cables.
• Work unsupervised, manage multiple installations, and communicate effectively with clients.
