Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Systems Installer to install complex integrated security systems, including wiring, equipment and programming of access control, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders and intercoms for clients.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot with test equipment, interpret specs, and ensure proper operation. This role requires safe driving and on-site teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; apprentice training may substitute.
• Experience with Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
• Experience with CCTV systems and enterprise level access control.
• Knowledge of Alarm Systems.
• Experience with IP addressable security devices.
• Proficient with ADT AI core card access and CCTV systems.
• Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge.
• Able to operate a company truck with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install cabling, field equipment and control enclosures per code.
• Troubleshoot with electronic test equipment.
• Read blueprints, diagrams and specs.
• Test and adjust equipment for proper operation.
• Perform system checks and ensure security readiness.
• Document and complete project paperwork.
• Provide end-user training.
• Drive to customer sites and manage install timelines.
• Maintain communication with project teams.
