Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Security Installer to install complex integrated security systems including access control, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercoms for clients. You will read blueprints, install cables, test equipment, and train users on system operation.

The role requires 5+ years in Commercial Fire Alarm, CCTV, or Access Control, strong TCP/IP networking, and the ability to work unsupervised and after-hours. A valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience with Commercial Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV and/or Access Control.
• Understanding of Alarm System function and design.
• 2+ years experience with IP addressable security devices.
• Proficient with TCP/IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Install cabling and equipment enclosures per codes and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot using electronic test equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specs.
• Adjust, repair, or replace inoperative equipment and test operation.
• Perform system checks for proper operation.
• Train end users on system use.
