Job summary
Convergint is seeking a full-time Electrical Installer to install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm and life-safety systems on customer sites. You will collaborate with customers and colleagues to provide technical installation support and training, while growing within a dynamic team.
The role emphasizes hands-on work, blueprints interpretation, and safe completion of tasks on time. A valid driver's license and construction/electrical aptitude are required as you progress
Qualifications
- Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
- Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.
- Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems and equipment including security, fire alarm & life safety or building automation with minimal guidance.
- Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams and repair equipment using test instruments and hand tools.
- Provide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead and train less experienced installers.
