Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Security Subscriber Service Tech 1 (un) to diagnose and service card access, CCTV, burglar alarm, and related building system products at customer sites. You will deliver high-quality customer service and practical solutions during service calls.

The role involves reading blueprints and manuals, installing and programming systems, and coordinating with customers. On-site work with potential on-call emergencies is expected, with safety guidelines strictly

Qualifications

• 1-3 years documented experience with card access and CCTV.
• Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
• Experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access and CCTV.
• Fire alarm experience is a plus.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor up to 50-70 lbs.
• Able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.
• Knowledge of applicable NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals and bulletins to repair equipment.
• Service, troubleshoot, and install card access, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
• Exhibit effective customer service skills by communicating with staff and customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through devices.
• Obtain customer signature upon completed service call.
• Available for on-call emergency service.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility runs efficiently and upsell opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
