Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Subscriber Service Tech 1 to diagnose and service card access, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems at customer sites in the Irvine area. You will read blueprints and specifications, follow procedures, and communicate effectively with customers to resolve building inefficiencies.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, physical stamina, and the ability to work from ladders or lifts.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience with card access and CCTV.
Knowledge of test equipment, multimeter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
Experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access and CCTV.
Fire alarm experience is a plus.
Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Capable of heavy lifting (up to 50–70 lbs).
Willingness to work on ladders, scaffolding, and high lifts up to 40 ft.

Responsibilities

Diagnose problems and repair card access, CCTV, burglar alarm systems at customer sites.
Provide high level service to resolve building inefficiencies.
Act as trusted advisor to customers with on-site solutions.
Follow troubleshooting procedures and reference manuals.
Provide quotes and upsell where appropriate.
Available for on-call emergency service.
