Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to protect guests, team members, and merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment. The role involves incident documentation, crisis response, and collaboration with AP leadership to minimize shortages.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), 18+ years old, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Training will be provided to develop surveillance and protection skills.

Responsibilities

• Support sales by welcoming and engaging guests and team members at the front of store and on the sales floor.
• Lead a physical security culture for our team members and guests by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store.
• Respond to and accurately document security incidents.
• Understand and leverage escalation tools for guest issues to provide a safe environment.
• Conduct merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support following AP policies.
• Prevent theft and shortage by performing receipt checks for exposed high-dollar merchandise.
• Submit documentation in the system for all incidents following AP policy and procedures.
• Train team members on merchandise protection and audit execution.
