Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help keep guests and team members safe while protecting assets. You will greet guests, assist with issues, and uphold security standards throughout the store.

You will respond to incidents, document properly, and work with leadership to deter theft and ensure a safe environment. Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and can communicate across devices.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Effective communication and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Capable of remaining focused in a fast-paced environment and multitasking workload.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with issues to deliver a smooth shopping experience.
• Respond to security incidents and document them promptly in the case management system.
• Promote a safe, secure environment and de-escalate when needed.
• Support merchandise loss prevention activities and assist store leadership.
