GEO Reentry Services LLC in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Security Monitor to coordinate administrative and operational security on a specific shift in a residential re-entry center. You will lead staff during the shift to ensure security coverage and enforce post orders, resident counts, and logs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, an active driver’s license, and prior supervisory experience in corrections. Strong English report writing and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a current and active driver’s license.
• One year as a Monitor I or two years related experience; leadership preferred.
• Familiar with community correctional operations, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to write legible reports in English using proper grammar.
• Ability to work any assigned shift.
• Ability to use computers and facility software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative and operational security activities on a specific shift.
• Lead staff during assigned shift to maintain adequate security coverage.
• Read, understands and complies with post orders for the assigned post.
• Conduct resident counts and supervise monitors.
• Prepare staff logs and disciplinary reports and other administrative documents.
• Maintain daily logs of residents, visitors, and facility checks.
• Respond to emergencies quickly, calmly and appropriately.
