Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated security professional to coordinate administrative and operational security on a specific shift in a residential re-entry center.

You will effectively lead staff to maintain proper security coverage and ensure post orders are followed with precision. You will guide monitors, train new hires, and manage staffing logistics while liaising with the Security Manager and Facility Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year as a Monitor I or two years related experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Must hold a current and active Driver's License.
• Familiar with community correctional operations, corrections laws, rules and regulations and supervision training.

Responsibilities

• Reads, understands and complies with post orders for the assigned post.
• Ensure resident formal counts are conducted.
• Directs Monitor staff and residents during shifts; trains new employees and manages staffing.
• Reports any suspected unauthorized activity to the Security Manager or Facility Director.
• Maintains daily logs, checks on resident in/out, visitors, and facility.
• Provides adequate staffing and covers shifts during short staffing.
• Participates in staff evaluations and training coordination.
• Monitors safety practices and documents incidents as required.
