Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Security Monitor in Anchorage to coordinate administrative and security activities on a shift in a residential re-entry center. You will effectively lead staff to maintain proper security coverage and ensure compliance with post orders.

Ideal candidates bring leadership, strong English communication, and the ability to train staff, maintain logs, and respond calmly to emergencies in a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year as a Monitor or similar role; leadership experience preferred.
• Familiar with community corrections operations and regulations.
• Able to write legible English reports and communicate clearly.
• Ability to plan, motivate, schedule, train and respond to emergencies.
• Willing to work any assigned shift and use facility computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative and security duties on a shift.
• Lead staff on shift, ensure adequate security coverage.
• Train new employees, resolve issues, manage schedules and leaves.
• Maintain daily logs and facility checks, report incidents.
• Monitor safety practices and participate in staff training.
