Job summary

Convergint Technologies LLC in West Valley City, UT, seeks a full-time Security Project Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security and life-safety systems.

You will work on small to large projects, collaborate with a team, read blueprints, and provide proactive support, aiming to maximize customer satisfaction and project success.

Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience preferred; travel locally; valid driver's license required; strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with security systems preferred.
• Certifications in relevant products and licenses are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security and life-safety systems.
• Perform start-up, certification testing, and customer training on assigned projects.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide technical support.
• Support project managers with scheduling, cost awareness, and quality control.
• Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to continuous improvement.
