Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security, fire and life-safety systems across projects of varying complexity. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot equipment, and demonstrate systems to clients.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years relevant field service experience.
• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Certifications in security systems (Software House, Lenel, Genetec, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services security systems.
• Provides customer training and technical support.
• Reads blueprints and wiring diagrams for installation.
• Operates systems to demonstrate and start-up equipment.
• Mentors less experienced staff.
• Identifies risks and helps manage costs on projects.
