Job summary

Convergint in Birmingham, AL seeks a Security Technician for full-time work on diverse security, fire, and building automation projects. You’ll install, program, test, certify, and train customers on systems, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 1–3 years of field service experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel locally to jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services security, fire, life safety, and building automation systems.
• Demonstrates systems to customers and provides training.
• Interprets manuals and wiring diagrams to install equipment.
• Collaborates with engineering to resolve unusual system issues.
• Supports project teams and ensures customer satisfaction.
