Job summary

Epic Hosting is seeking a Security Operations Technician to join the SOC team protecting Epic's SaaS infrastructure for major healthcare clients. Responsibilities include identifying security events and coordinating investigations across teams.

This role requires relocation to the Madison, WI area with reimbursed relocation. Epic offers comprehensive benefits, annual raises and bonuses, stock grants, and a sabbatical after five years.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs; security monitoring and event analysis.
• Experience in security operations center or similar incident response.
• Security certifications such as GSEC, SSCP, ECSA, Security+.
• PowerShell scripting is helpful for automation.
• Experience with Active Directory and access management.
• Familiarity with SIEM, MFA, and ITIL tools.
• Relocation to the Madison, WI area is reimbursed.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Identify security events and coordinate investigations across multiple teams.
• Recommend and implement long-term security improvements and processes.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and advise on new information security solutions.
• Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting systems.
• Escalate security incidents and ensure compliance with policies.
