Job summary

Epic Hosting is seeking a Security Operations Technician to join the SOC team responsible for securing Epic's SaaS infrastructure for major healthcare clients. The role involves identifying security events, coordinating investigations, and driving long-term security improvements.

Relocation to the Madison, WI area is reimbursed. You will monitor, analyze, and respond to threats using SIEM tools, and collaborate across multiple teams to strengthen security controls and incident response

Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, app whitelisting, and data loss prevention concepts.
• Experience with log analysis, monitoring, auditing in security operations.
• Security certifications (GSEC, SSCP, ECSA, Security+) are a plus.
• Scripting in PowerShell is helpful.
• Exposure to Active Directory and access management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting systems.
• Escalate security incidents and provide relevant information to stakeholders.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and drive improvements in security processes.
