Job summary

Epic Hosting is seeking a Security Operations Technician to join the SOC team. You will secure Epic's SaaS infrastructure, identify security events, coordinate investigations across teams, and drive long-term improvements. The role emphasizes staying current with threats and implementing security solutions.

Relocation to the Madison, WI area is reimbursed. Epic offers comprehensive benefits, annual raises, bonuses, and stock grants, with opportunities for a four-week sabbatical after five years

Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, application whitelisting, and data loss prevention.
• Experience with log analysis, monitoring, and auditing in security operations.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell is helpful.
• Familiarity with SIEM, MFA, and ITIL tools is useful.
• Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed).
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
• COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Identify security events and coordinate investigation and response across multiple teams.
• Propose long-term process improvements rather than short-term fixes.
• Stay informed on emerging threats and implement new security solutions.
• Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting services.
