Job summary

Epic is seeking a Security Operations Technician for the Hosting team on campus in Madison, WI. The role requires relocation assistance and will involve safeguarding Epic's SaaS infrastructure for major healthcare clients.

You will detect security events, coordinate investigations across teams, and push for long-term process improvements while staying ahead of emerging threats. Relocation is reimbursed; the position supports 1st–3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise firewalls, network IDS/IPS, VPNs, app whitelisting, and data loss prevention.
• Experience with log analysis, monitoring, and auditing in a SOC environment.
• Security certifications (GSEC, SSCP, ECSA, Security+) are a plus.
• PowerShell scripting is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Identify security events and coordinate investigation and response across multiple teams.
• Contribute to long-term security process improvements and threat mitigation.
• Protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting systems.
