Job summary

Epic Hosting is seeking a Security Operations Technician to join our SOC team, safeguarding Epic's SaaS infrastructure for major healthcare clients. You will identify security events, coordinate investigations across multiple teams, and drive long-term process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, application whitelisting and data loss prevention.
• Experience with log analysis, monitoring and system/network auditing or in a security operations center.
• Certifications such as GSEC, SSCP, ECSA, Security+ are a plus.
• PowerShell scripting knowledge is helpful.
• Experience with access management, Active Directory, and physical security is a plus.
• Familiarity with SIEM, MFA, and ITIL tools is useful.
• Willingness to relocate to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed) and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
• COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Identify security events and coordinate investigation and response across multiple teams.
• Recommend and implement long-term security process improvements.
• Stay current on emerging threats and implement new information security solutions.
• Protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting.
• Follow policies and escalate when policies are not followed.
• Escalate security incidents with relevant information.
• Meet security responsibilities defined in policies and procedures.
