Job summary

Epic Hosting seeks a Security Operations Technician to join the SOC team protecting Epic's SaaS infrastructure for major healthcare clients. You will identify security events, coordinate investigations, and push for long‑term process improvements.

The role requires adaptability to shifts and potential relocation to the Madison, WI area with reimbursement. You’ll leverage SIEM, log analysis, AD, and scripting skills while staying ahead of threats and delivering robust information security

Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, application whitelisting and DLP.
• Experience in security operations center, log monitoring and auditing.
• Security certifications (SANS/GIAC GSEC, ISC2 SSCP, EC-Council ECSA, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
• PowerShell scripting knowledge is helpful.
• Familiarity with AD, physical security, SIEM, MFA and ITIL tools is useful.
• Relocation to Madison, WI area reimbursed and eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift; COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Identify security events and coordinate investigation and response across multiple teams.
• Think critically to drive long-term process improvements rather than quick fixes.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats and implement new information security solutions.
• Follow policies and escalate when policies are not followed.
• Escalate potential security incidents with relevant information and meet security responsibilities.
