Job summary

Epic Hosting is seeking a Security Operations Technician to join a SOC team that secures Epic's SaaS infrastructure for major healthcare clients. You will identify security events, coordinate investigations across teams, and push for long-term process improvements while staying current on emerging threats.

The role emphasizes handling confidentiality, integrity, and availability, with policies to follow and incidents to escalate.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations and incident response.
• Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, app whitelisting and DLP.
• Scripting ability with PowerShell.
• Knowledge of SIEM, MFA and ITIL concepts.
• Relocation to the Madison, WI area with reimbursement.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
• COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting.
• Escalate potential security incidents with relevant information.
• Follow policies and procedures and escalate when not followed.
• Coordinate investigation and response across multiple teams.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats and implement new information security solutions.
