Job summary

Epic Hosting is seeking a Security Operations Technician to join a SOC team that safeguards Epic's SaaS infrastructure. You will identify security events, coordinate investigations across multiple teams, and drive long-term process improvements to defend healthcare clients.

You will stay ahead of emerging threats, advise on new information security solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to strengthen Epic’s security posture. Relocation to the Madison, WI area is provided.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with SOC processes and tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, application whitelisting, and DLP.
• Experience with log analysis, monitoring, and system/network auditing in a security operations center.
• Security certifications are a plus (e.g., SANS/GIAC, ISC2, EC-Council, CompTIA).
• Knowledge of a scripting language such as PowerShell will be helpful.

• Escalate potential security incidents and provide relevant information.
