Job summary

WesBanco Bank Inc. seeks a Security Operations leader to guide the Security Operations team, drive process efficiencies, reduce threats, and escalate critical security events.

This role collaborates with IT and Risk Management to ensure security practices across the technology service lifecycle. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, 3+ years of related experience, and relevant security certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Technical certifications in IT security (Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, Citrix, Oracle, (ISC)2) preferred.
• Experience with security event response procedures and event tuning.
• Strong knowledge of Network Security, OS Security, and Data Security.
• Experience with Intrusion Prevention Devices and Next-Generation Firewalls.
• Proven supervisory/leadership experience and ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with ITIL/COBIT/NIST is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads, mentors, and develops the Security Operations team to align with IT objectives.
• Develops and maintains security procedures, workflows, and incident response playbooks.
• Oversees security monitoring, alert triage, threat detection, investigations, and operations efficiency.
• Manages cybersecurity incident response and escalation for significant events.
• Collaborates with Security Engineering and IT leadership to improve security platforms and maturity.
• Supports risk management, regulatory compliance, and audits.
