EDB is seeking a senior security leader to own Security Operations and Security Engineering. You will report to the CISO, directing threat detection, incident response, and preventive controls across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will partner with Governance, Risk & Compliance, and Product, shaping the broader InfoSec strategy as the company scales globally in a remote-first setting.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of management experience leading security teams.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in security operations, incident response, detection, or security engineering.
• Track record of scaling a security function through rapid growth, hiring, automation, and operating discipline.
• Strategic thinking that goes beyond the immediate scope of the role.
• Ability to translate technical risk into business impact for executives, legal, customers, and IT/Product counterparts.

Responsabilidades

• Incident response end to end, from intake to after-action and improvement, incl. investigations with Legal.
• Detection engineering, threat hunting, and SIEM/EDR/SOAR/cloud security platforms.
• Security engineering strategy and delivery focused on preventive controls and least privilege.
• Insider threat program development with HR, Legal, IT.
• Automation and agentic AI to extend analyst capacity while maintaining human decision ownership.
• Security integration of acquired companies into EDB's standards.
• Partnership with IT and Product to bake preventive controls into platforms and pipelines.
• Scale planning for org design, rhythms, roadmap, budget, and vendor strategy.
