Job summary

EDB leads a global Security Operations and Security Engineering program, reporting to the CISO. You will own detection, response, and prevention with teams across governance, risk, and product, shaping a scalable, automated security posture as the company grows.

You will partner with IT and product to embed preventive controls, expand coverage to new acquisitions, and balance risk with business goals in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience leading security teams.
• 7+ years in security operations, incident response, detection, or security engineering.
• Track record scaling a security function during rapid growth.
• Ability to translate technical risk into business impact for executives.
• Comfort in a global, remote-first environment with on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Incident response end to end with partnerships on investigations.
• Detection engineering, threat hunting, and security platforms support.
• Security engineering to prevent incidents with preventive controls and least privilege.
• Oversight of insider threat program with HR, Legal, and IT.
• Automation initiatives and agent-based AI to extend analyst capacity.
• Integration of acquired companies into EDB security standards.
• Collaboration with IT and Product to embed preventive controls in platforms.
